talk show, Valley Talk. Interview with Steve Druker, Executive Director
of the Alliance for BioIntegrity and lawyer who sued the FDA over

chef Greg Higgins, of Higgin’s Restaurant in Portland, will
present a specially-prepared menu, and speak briefly about sustainable
foods. Guest speakers: Steve Druker, lawyer who sued the FDA over
GE testing and regulation discrepancies, and Jane Akre, TV journalist
fired by FOX TV affiliate in response to pressure from Monsanto
because of her documentary on recombinant bovine growth hormone
(rBGH). Jane has since been awarded several prestigious Ethics in
Journalism honors. Tickets: $75 and up, sliding scale, proceeds

Forum sponsored by OSU Philosophy and Ethics Department, to be held
at the Corvallis Public Library, 6th and Monroe. Panelists include
Donna Harris, Chief Petitioner of Measure 27; Steve Druker, Executive
Director of the Alliance for BioIntegrity and lawyer who sued the
FDA over GE testing and regulation discrepancies; Moderator Mike
Rodemeyer, Pew Charitable Trust; Terri Lomax, OSU scientist; Pat
McCormick, Committee Against Costly Labeling; and Terry Witt, Oregonians
for Food and Shelter.

Engineered Food? to be held at the Corvallis Public Library, 6th
and Monroe. With Dr. Alan Kapular (plant geneticist), Yvonne Frost
(Oregon TILTH), JJ Haapala. Learn the latest information on genetic
engineering and Oregon’s upcoming Ballot Measure 27 at this
lively informational forum featuring local experts from the Organic

oven, world class pastries and desserts! We will honor several dignitaries
from the local organic movement for their lifelong dedication to
