The Colorado Genetic Engineering Action Network
(COGEAN), a statewide grassroots organization of Colorado activists,
applauds Oregon citizens for championing the consumers' right to
know what is in their food. We fully support the labeling initiative
and are ready to cooperate in any way, including working with local
farmers, producers, grocers and cooperative markets, to help the
State of Oregon comply with this crucial law. You are the torchbearers
on this issue, and we thank you. People have a right to know what
is in their food, what they are feeding their families, their children.
